You can park in the Rowbarge car park at no cost and walk around the pit either clockwise or anti. Mid-week and when nothings been reported there is a littlle pull-in just south of the pub (green cross on the map). This is favoured for a quick visit as it's a shorter walk to the spit (with the only really good wader stop off point - green shading)

The blue shades are where to look for turtle dove but they can be heard & seen along the western edge of the pit too

You can try the dotted lines ... hen harrier has been seen there and the arrow point sto "Garganey" pool (one was found there once!

Cetti's are found all around the pit now but are most easily seen between the north of the pit and the Kennet
