May 9th

Dorney Wetlands

In spite of being chased relentlessly by three redshank first thing this morning, this stunner was still showing well on East marsh until 7pm at least. With no reports of other waders in the county we were lucky with this bird. A dunlin remains and the ringed plover, despite having abandoned their nest, are still around. A wheatear was the only other migrant on site.
