Final Spring entry

Dorney Wetlands

Not a wonderful year but with a few rays of sunlight to lift the gloom ...

Turnstone, ruff, curlew sand and temminck's stint ... with dunlin and greenshank as supporting cast and fly-over oystercatcher, whimbrel & osprey. The resident redshanks were always a joy to watch & listen to as they chased each other from one marsh to another and the LRPs are classy birds regarding the other avifauna with aristocratic aloofness!

Migration looks just about over on the Jubilee river so this will be the last BirdsofBerkshire update until the Autumn.
