Berkshire GPs - more info

Like all gravel pits, it's a matter of walking around and trying to see between the vegetation! I've listed some map references to reasonable parking/starting places

Twyford - North

SU785760

This is a pub car park (alternate is: SU787756 (a pay & display). A circular walk starting down the east side.

Twyford - South

SU785747

There is room for 2-3 cars. A good place if you want a quick look over a couple of pits north & south of Park lane [Smew]

Bray

SU912786

Go past the Sailing club take the footbridge (right)  over "The Cut" and view the GPs either side of the footpath. Check the banks of the main sailing lake for sandpipers.

Woolhampton

SU572664

Park in the pub car park (don't feel guilty - there is some arrangement between the pub & the local council) then take the path, which runs along the back of the car park, west.

Stephen Graham's site guide gives all the necessary (aka Brimpton GP).
